The government of the Kingdom of Bahrain pro-
posed to the Director General the establishment and
funding of a prize entitled “ UNESCO King Hamad
Bin Isa Al_Khalifa for the Use of Information and
Communication prize“ which reward projects and
activities of individuals, institutions, other entities
and non-governmental organizations for excellent
models, best practice , and creative use of Infor-
mation and communication technologies (ICTs ) to
enhance learning, teaching and overall educational
performance.
This prize is just one of the many examples of His
Majesty’s commitment for making quality educa-
tion accessible and affordable to all both in his own
country and throughout the world.

The eDegree Program in Lapland, Finland
And Honorable prize for the project : Civil Law
Teaching Website , Kuwait

Curriki, USA
Honourable mention for Sesamath project, France
and Enciclomedia project, Mexico
These projects have been rewarded for their impor-
tance in the field of information and communication
.They are models of excellence and illustrate best
practice and creative use ICT to promote learning,
teaching and overall education system.
